Lacey is a gorgeous 4 year old Miniature Schnauzer looking for her forever home. A super sweet and affectionate girl, Lacey would be a fantastic companion for a family looking for a gentle and laid back small dog.


Lacey is extremely loving and adores one on one attention. She would happily spend her day on a lap or snuggled next to her family. Gentle and kind, she is nice to everyone she encounters though she can be a little shy on first meeting new people... but it doesn't take her long to warm up and turn on the charm! She loves people too much to stay away for long! Lacey has nice house manners, only barks when the doorbell rings and happily sleeps on her dog bed at night. She is not used to walking on a leash so her new family will want to work with her a bit, showing her how to walk nicely on a leash. Given that she's such a smart girl and very eager to please, she should pick it up quickly.


Lacey gets along very well with other dogs as she has lived her whole life in a multi-dog household. She will play with the other dogs sometimes but she's pretty mellow and prefers to toodle around at her own pace in the yard while the younger yahoos are romping around. A friendly gal, she has no problem sharing her food, toys, bones or bed with other dogs. She would like very much to be adopted by a family with another four-footed playmate but she would also be happy as the only dog.


Lacey's coat is soft and in great shape. Fairly dense, it requires weekly brushing to keep it tangle and matt-free and trips to groomer every so often for a trim. Because Lacey is so laid back and would prefer to lay about than play or run in the yard for exercise, her new family will want to incorporate a regular walking routine to keep her in shape. To put it bluntly, she's a lazy girl! Once she's out she enjoys walking but like many of us, she won't do it on her own. She needs someone to get her off the couch! Her and I both!!


Lacey is spayed, up to date on her shots, in great health and fully housetrained. She was born on September 16, and weighs 20 lbs. Surrendered to HART by a retiring breeder, this girl has been very well cared for and loved throughout her life.
